Our normal Wednesday Spin and Strength class got moved to Friday this week, so I decided to try out another free workout video for our readers. As I mentioned in a previous post, I am a big fan of the HomeBodySculpt‘s short video and instructions available on Instagram, but this time I decided to try a full workout video. So, I googled “top free workout videos on YouTube” and one name kept coming up in each of the lists… BodyRock.tv
As you can see from the picture, this lady has a killer body. What you can’t see is that she has an Australian accent which kind of makes her encouragement during the video a little more fun.
I tried the BodyRock HiitMax | Workout 1 – Full Body Skipping this was a 16 minute video, 30 seconds on for each exercise and 10 seconds off. In the video she starts with “skipping”, which in the U.S. is really jump squats with a little punch. The second time you “skip”, she demonstrates the next move. This becomes the format for the whole workout.
Overall, I really liked it! It just so happens that the video I selected is part of a series where she adds another workout to it each day. At the end of the week you are sure to see improvement -assuming you eat healthy too 🙂
After completing the workout, I felt like I needed another 10 minutes of exercise, so I added on the 12 Minute-Madness Workout. Truth be told, I didn’t finish it, because I needed to get in the shower, but I found this equally good. This time, she had a male instructor helping out. This must have been an earlier video because it seemed less professional, but the workout was still great.
The great news is that there are a ton of BodyRock workouts on YouTube for free, including yoga, ab workouts, and more. You can even go to their website and Start the 7-day Reboot Your Life workout for free. All you need is your laptop or your phone and the time commitment – and even that can be relatively minimal. So try it and let us know what you think!
