Five Easy Deviled Egg Recipes

with No Comments

Easter eggs can be fun to make if you can handle a little mess in the kitchen.  But, what do you do with all those hard-boiled eggs after you’ve admired them for a solid few minutes?  Devil them of course!  Here are five easy recipes that you can make to spice up your deviled eggs.

Basic Deviled Egg:

  • 4 hard-boiled eggs (10 minutes after boiling should suffice)
  • 1 Tbsp mayo or avocado
  • 1 tsp honey dijon mustard (optional for Southwest Deviled Egg)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Slice your eggs in half and spoon out the hardened yolks.  Combine yolks, avocado or mayo, and sprinkle salt and pepper to your liking.  Spoon the yolk mixture back into the halved egg whites.
Below are four additional, amazing recipes that can take your boring deviled egg to the next level:

Southwest Deviled Eggs:

  • Basic Deviled Egg ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp salsa (fresher the better)
  • 1 jalapeño – diced
  • 1 tsp cilantro – chopped
  • Dash of paprika (preferably smoked)

We like it spicy at Nearly All Things so we add a full jalapeño and hot salsa to kick it up a notch.  If spice isn’t your thing, dial it down with a mild salsa and add chopped red peppers instead of the jalapeño. Don’t worry – we won’t tell anyone 🙂

Now we can all be a little more excited about decorating those eggs for Easter!
