I’m loving the vampire red colors that have been popping up all over Instagram lately. So, I decided it was time to try out a new salon that a lot of my friends have been raving about called Chickettes Natural Nail Studio. Chickettes is owned by Andrea Beight. Some of you may already know her from her popular blog www.chickettes.com – where you can learn all about gel nail polish including recommended products, gel nail trends, and cool design ideas.
My experience getting my nails done at Chickettes was “wickedly” awesome. I had a pedicure done in the same vampy red color as my nails above. Then, I switched seats to get my gel manicure. I loved the results and am especially partial to the spider web stamp, which added a unique festive approach! My tween and teen girls loved the nails and immediately wanted to know when they could get their nails done too.
After about a week of the manicure, my nails still look great. This comes from someone who typically gets a manicure and then has to remove the nail polish a day or two later because I am so rough on my nails. This manicure did not disappoint – and I’ve been just as tough if not tougher on my nails. This morning I noticed a tiny, tiny chip on one nail, but I covered it with clear nail polish and expect it to last another week. I already have my next appointment booked!
