An Empowering, All Natural Coffee Scrub

I’ll get to the reason why I used the word “empowering” in just a minute.  But first, I want to tell you about Body by Cordoba’s coffee scrubs. These 100% natural coffee scrubs for your face and body contain coffee and essential oils derived from plants to leave your skin feeling refreshed, moisturized and better than ever!

I tried Body by Cordoba’s Pink Himalayan Salt and Oat Oil Coffee Scrub.  As shown in the picture, the body scrub looks a lot like ground coffee.  It does have a coffee smell, but when I applied it to my face, the coffee smell was much weaker than I had originally thought and there was a pleasant, sweet aroma (maybe from the cinnamon, Himalayan salt, and coconut oil?).  I was grateful of this, because I applied the scrub too close to my mouth (okay, basically all over it) and realized that a bitter taste would not have been welcome.

I recommend that you follow the directions about applying the body scrub gently.  It was rougher once applied than I had expected.  I also applied a little too much at first, so I recommend starting with a small handful, then applying more if you need it.

I waited the five minutes and rinsed.  Even though the scrub was coarse, my skin not only felt smooth after rinsing, but it also felt moisturized.  In fact, I didn’t even apply my normal toner and serum regime afterwards because my skin felt so great.  I’m sold!  This will be joining my weekly skincare routine.  There are three other coffee scrubs worth trying as well.  And, if you go to their website www.bodybycordoba and sign up to receive email notifications, you can save 25% on your first order.

The combination of ground coffee, sugar and Dead Sea salt acts as a natural exfoliant, removing dead skin and revealing healthy, nourished skin. Plant based products such as argan oil, jojoba oil, and macadamia oils are used to soothe and moisturize. Our cruelty-free, handmade scrubs improve blood flow and circulation, and can even help treat skin conditions including psoriasis, eczema, and cellulite. The result is healthy, glowing skin that you can feel good about! – www.bodybycordoba.com

And, here’s the best part…..drumroll please………not only are these products 100% natural, vegan, and cruelty-free, each purchase you make is invested back into women farmers who grow organic coffee beans.

Each and every BODY by Cordoba scrub is made with premium organic coffee beans. We proudly support the Café Femenino Movement, which ensures that women coffee farmers receive compensation and recognition for the exceptional beans that they produce. For every BODY by Cordoba product purchased, a donation is made to the Café Femenino Foundation.

All you need is your favorite milk/cream or non-milk product, your milk frother, a mug, some flavored syrup and some good coffee. It literally takes absolutely no time at all.

Seriously, get one today and you may even be able to enjoy one for the end of the weekend. Here’s a video that shows you just how easy it is:

Chocolate Coconut Cold Brew Iced Coffee Drink

After a not-so-great night of sleep, this Coconut Cold Brew Iced Coffee Concentrate helped make the perfect pick-me-up, afternoon treat.

I’m more of a coffee purist in the mornings, but this afternoon, I went so far as to add a little splash of Hershey’s Syrup to add a little decadence to this already great combo.  The result – yum!  Caffeine, chocolate, coconut – all for 55 calories – I’m sold!

Lo-Cal Chocolate Coconut Iced Coffee:

  • 1 part Trader Joe’s Coconut Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate (The bottle has 4 servings)
  • 2 parts water (you can use milk if you don’t mind the extra 100 or so calories)
  • Tbsp of Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup
  • Add ice

Stir ingredients for a wonderful lo-cal drink!  This can also be served hot by skipping the ice and warming it in the microwave or on the stovetop.
